Each month at The Lexington in London and FluxBau in Berlin, Ja Ja Ja hand-picks the finest emerging talent from the Nordic countries to perform at our club nights, making sure that only the best music is filtered through to your ears.
Alongside the nights, the Ja Ja Ja website brings you the latest news about up and coming music from the region on a daily basis, as well as presenting the Nordic Playlist. A constantly updated library of tailor-made playlists, the Nordic Playlist is available on Spotify and Apple Music, presenting playlists curated by the Nordic region’s most prominent artists and tastemakers including Lykke Li, Of Monsters & Men, Aurora, Trentemøller, Jaakko Eino Kalevi and many more.
Since 2009, Ja Ja Ja has been bringing the best new Nordic music to London on a monthly basis, expanding to Berlin in 2014. During that time, more than 250 artists have travelled to the UK and Germany to perform at more than 100 Ja Ja Ja shows, including MØ, When Saints Go Machine, Highasakite, Niki and the Dove, Astrid S, Sóley and Satellite Stories.
In 2013, the first Ja Ja Ja Festival took place at Camden’s iconic Roundhouse venue to take the club night concept to a bigger, world-renowned stage. Over 2 days, the festival presented 20 artists from throughout the region – from a headline set from experimental Danes Mew, to performances from rising artists like Rangleklods, NONONO and Postiljonen.
In 2014, the festival returned to take place across The Lexington and Queen Elizabeth Hall in London over 3 days, bringing artists such as Emilíana Torrini, Jenny Wilson, Sin Cos Tan, Highasakite and more to the event’s stages.
Ja Ja Ja currently takes place in London and Berlin each month, and in Vienna and Tokyo on an annual basis.
