The annual Nordic music trade mission Hokuo Music Fest took place in Tokyo between November 13-16 2018 with a delegation of 31 companies, three bands and five songwriters.

Since 2013, Hokuo Music Fest has been organised by Export Music Sweden, Music Export Denmark, Music Finland, Music Norway and Iceland Music Export. In 2018, Hokuo Music Fest again brought together Nordic and Japanese music companies representing different genres and sectors of the industry.

Hokuo Music trade mission connects Nordic music professionals with their Japanese counterparts, facilitates networking and meetings between the Nordics and the Japanese, and builds Nordic music companies’ export capacity and market knowledge of Japan.

In 2018, the Nordic delegation consisted of 31 companies and other organisations (managements, labels, publishers, agents and export offices), five Nordic songwriters and three Nordic metal bands. See Hokuo Music's entire Nordic delegation in this PDF document
