Between December 10th-13th NOMEX were in Tokyo, Japan for this years last nordic trade mission.

The trip was managed by Export Music Sweden, with support from consultants Haji Taniguchi and Lauren Rose Kosher.

During the visit, we met with companies such as CTGA, SURF Music, and Tower Records, received an overview of the Japanese market from Takayuki Suzuki of MusicTech, and visited YouTube Japan, Spotify Japan, and Warner Music Japan.

In parallel with the Nordic trade mission, our Nordic–Japanese songwriting camp took place, an initiative we have co-organized with Sony Music Publishing Japan for over ten years.

We would also like to extend our warm thanks to Ambassador Viktoria Li, who welcomed the delegation to the Swedish Residence in Tokyo for a networking lunch with representatives from the Japanese music industry.

The trade mission concluded with a joint dinner for all delegates and participants in the songwriting camp.
